Twenty-three years of writing adds up! Paddling, life, family, training, competitions, business, longevity, bass fishing—I’ve written about all of it. Keeping track of those stories has become a challenge, even for me.
My first home for blogging was jacksonkayak.com. I had that site for a few years before I started Jackson Kayak, then turned my personal blog into the brand’s website. Even as the company grew, my blogs stayed on the homepage. I typically wrote more than 100 posts a year.
After I lost Jackson Kayak, I also lost my voice on the website I’d created. Since then, I’ve built new places to share what I’m doing: Apex Watercraft, Coach EJ, Life Without Compromise, and now World Kayak. Each has articles focused on its own subject, but my life doesn’t fit neatly into separate websites.
I’ve been missing one place where I can bring it all together. A place to share what I’m thinking about, what I’m working toward, what I’m learning, and what’s happening along the way.
That’s what EJ World is for.
I’m also building an organized library of my writing through the years. If you want to revisit a competition, find a training article, or explore something I wrote about life on the road with my family, I want you to be able to find it without digging through years of unrelated posts. That collection will grow as I recover and add older articles.
Alongside my own writing, I’ll share stories, videos, and ideas from other people that I think you’ll enjoy. There are a lot of people doing worthwhile things in our sports and beyond, and I want to help you discover them, too.
If you subscribe to my newsletter, I’ll bring a few reads to your inbox with each edition: new stories and current updates, along with relevant throwbacks worth another look.
If you love paddling, travel, family, fitness, bass fishing, and the people who make these pursuits fun, I hope you’ll find plenty here to keep you coming back. You’ll get my perspective, my experiences, and a look at what’s coming next.
Subscribe, come along, and let’s get started!
